Settings

The Settings screen is your control centre. Tap the gear icon on the live scoring screen to get there.

Theme (Light / Dark)

Tap Light or Dark to switch the look of the app. Your choice is remembered for next time. Dark mode (the default) is easier on the eyes for evening games under floodlights!

Language

Netball Tracker supports multiple languages. Tap Language to see the full list and pick the one you prefer. The entire app will update instantly — no restart needed.

Tracking Configuration

This is where you customise which actions appear on the Performance tracking screen.

Default Items

The app comes with built-in actions (Goal, Miss, Intercept, Assist, etc.). Two of these are locked:

All other default items can be removed if you don't need them.

Adding Custom Items

  1. Tap Add Item on the Tracking Configuration screen.
  2. Enter a name for your custom action (e.g. "Tip", "Deflection").
  3. Set a point value — positive for good actions, negative for bad ones.
  4. Choose a category — Good or Bad.
  5. Tap Save.

Your custom items will appear alongside the defaults on the tracking screen.

Tip: If things get messy, there's a Reset to Defaults button that restores the original tracking items.

Game

Opens the game configuration dialog where you can change the quarter length and number of quarters for the match in progress, then tap Apply.

Team

Jump to the Team Setup screen to create, edit, or delete saved teams and their rosters.

Game History

Opens a full list of your saved matches where you can review results, export matches to a file, and import matches that were shared with you.

Load Match

View your saved matches and load one to continue scoring. From the list you can also rename a match, jump to its location on a map (if recorded), or delete matches you no longer need.

Import Match from File

Bring in a shared .json match file. See Sharing & Import for the full flow.

New Game

Saves the current game and starts fresh, returning you to the setup dialog. You'll be asked to confirm first.

Send Feedback & Diagnostics

Send Feedback opens an email to the developers with the app's build details attached. Flip on Include current config first if you'd like your settings included to help with troubleshooting. Diagnostics lets you view logs, share traces, and clear the buffer if you're chasing down an issue.

Tip: The app name, version and build number are shown at the bottom of Settings — tap them any time to see full build details.
