Team Setup

Setting up your teams means you only have to enter details once — then you can reuse them for every match.

Opening Team Setup

Open Settings (gear icon on the live screen) and tap Team. This is the Team Setup screen. At the top you'll see Configure Us and Configure Them — the two teams for the current match — plus a list of your Saved Teams.

Creating a Team

Tap New Team.
Enter the team name (e.g. "Thunderbirds").
Choose the team's strip — two main colours plus one minor colour. These are used throughout the app to distinguish teams visually.
Add players to the roster (see below).
Tap Save Team.

Managing a Roster

Each team can have a roster — a list of players assigned to positions. Tap Edit Players to set names for each position. Netball Tracker supports all seven standard positions:

GK Goal Keeper
GD Goal Defence
WD Wing Defence
C Centre
WA Wing Attack
GA Goal Attack
GS Goal Shooter

You can also add substitutes who aren't assigned to a starting position. Type the player's name into the position slot and the app will remember it.

Why does the roster matter? When you set up GA and GS names, the app can automatically attribute goals to the right player on the live scoring screen. It also powers the per-player stats on the Match Stats screen.

Selecting Teams for a Match

Use Configure Us and Configure Them to set the two teams for the current match. Picking a saved team automatically pulls in its colours and roster. You can also reach this from the setup dialog's Configure Teams button when starting a new game.

Editing, History & Deleting Teams

From the Team Setup screen you can tap any saved team to edit its name, strip, or roster, view that team's match history, or delete teams you no longer need.
