Sharing & Import

Netball Tracker makes it easy to share match results with your team, parents, or league officials — and to bring data in from other sources.

Sharing a Match

Tap the Share button (the icon in the top-right corner of most screens) to open the sharing options. You can share your match as:

Export Match — Shares the full match data (as a link) that can be opened and imported back into the app on another device
Spreadsheet — A spreadsheet-ready CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets

Both options open your device's normal share sheet, so you can send the match via Messages, email, AirDrop, or any other app.

Tip: Use Export Match to move a game between devices or back it up. Use Spreadsheet if you want to do your own analysis.

Importing a Match

Go to Settings (gear icon).
Tap Import Match from File.
Pick a .json file that was exported from Netball Tracker.
Confirm the import — the app validates the data and adds it to your saved matches list.

You can also import (and export) matches from the Game History screen.

Heads up: Only valid Netball Tracker JSON files can be imported. If the file is corrupt or from a different app, you'll see an error message — nothing will break, so it's always safe to try.

Opening a Shared Link

If someone sends you a shared match link, tapping it will open the Shared Match screen. From there you can review the full match summary and choose to save it to your own device.
