Match Statistics
Netball Tracker turns every goal, miss, and tracked action into a set of detailed views.
You reach them from the page menu in the top-left of any match screen
(the dropdown that lists Live, Tracking,
Scorecard, Match Stats, Graph and
Events). The live timer stays in sync across all of them, and a share
and settings button sit in the top-right.
Scorecard
The Scorecard is a traditional paper-style scoresheet, broken down
quarter by quarter. For each quarter you can see:
- The running goal-by-goal tally for each team
- Centre-pass markers (O for odd, E for even) showing
who started each centre, exactly as a hand-written scoresheet would record them
- The quarter score and the cumulative match score
Events Timeline
The Events screen lists every recorded action in order. You can:
- Reverse the order (most recent first or oldest first)
- Open Filters to show or hide each team and to toggle individual
event types (with All / None shortcuts)
- Group events into a pivot — by event type, or by team and event type
- Delete an event if it was recorded by mistake
Match Stats
The Match Stats screen is the at-a-glance summary. At the top you'll find a
player filter (limit the figures to one team or specific players) and a
quarter selector — choose Overall or a single quarter
(Q1–Q4). A score banner shows the current totals, and each section has a small
(i) button that explains exactly how the numbers are worked out. The sections are:
- Goal Accuracy — each team's overall shooting accuracy %, with the
goals / total-shots count
- Shooting Breakdown — accuracy rings split by shooter position
(GS and GA) for both teams, showing goals (G) and misses (M)
- Team Comparison — side-by-side bars for goals, misses, and total shots
- Turnovers — goals scored against the run of centre, plus each team's
"% from turnovers"
- Tracking Stats — each team's combined performance score (the sum of all
tracked action point values) with per-action count bars
- Goals by Quarter — a quarter-by-quarter goal chart (or a compact
per-quarter score when a single quarter is selected)
If the match was recorded with a location, a Show Location button at the
bottom opens the spot on a map.
Graph & Visualisations
The Graph screen shares the same player filter and adds a
row of quarter toggles (tap All or individual quarters to
include them). It has four tabs:
- Shots — a treemap of goals vs misses, sized by volume and grouped by
team and shooter
- Tracking — a treemap of every tracked action, sized by how often it occurred
- Graphs — an interactive score-flow line graph showing how the lead
changed over the match, with quarter boundaries and goal markers
- Details — switch between a Shot Heatmap and a
Tracking Heatmap showing how actions were distributed across players
Tip: The player filter and quarter selectors apply to every chart on the
screen, so you can isolate a single player in one quarter to see exactly how they performed.
Reviewing a Shared Match
When you open a match someone shared with you, the Shared Match view shows a
read-only summary — final score, goals by quarter, shooting accuracy and breakdown, team
comparison, turnovers, and the number of tracked events — plus a button to import it into your
own Game History.
